About

Since I was a teen, I’ve always found web design and blogging as an outlet for my creativity, anxieties, triumphs etc. After a 10 year break from making content (due to university destroying any fun I had doing it) and my recent surgery to have a laparoscopic end colostomy, a few friends encouraged me to explore blogging about my experiences as a new ostomate. Through this blog I hope to document my journey with my new stoma, both the good and the bad. What works for me and what doesn’t. Maybe this will help someone in the end, that would be amazing.

Anyways, my name is Kirsty. I’m 30 and a paraplegic full time wheelchair user. I am engaged to a wonderful man who I shall call M. We’ve been together now for just over 10 years. We have two beautiful children, H who is 6 and drives me mental daily. She’s my biggest challenge but I can’t imagine life without her. My second, R, is 2. He’s a bubbly, crazy little thing who also came with his own little medical challenges.

My hobbies, when I have time include playing the odd online game, sewing, wheelchair basket ball, reading and binge watching Netflix. I don’t currently work due to ill health but I hope to change that in due course.
